The Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse who is licensed by the College of Nurses in the Extended class. They have completed a master's degree in Nursing and additional advanced university education specialization in Primary Care. They can work both independantly and collaboratively in an advance practice role with other health care professionals to provide individuals and families with high quailty care services. The Nurse Practitioner will provide full scope practice primary care services including diagnosis treatment and follow up of acute and chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will establish and manage a Women's Health Clinic; a barrier free environment where woman can receive basic heath and screening exams.
